Opening tonight’s event is … *drum roll* … SOUL KHAN!
Who is Soul Khan?
Soul Khan breaks the stereotypical mold of an MC. His distinct voice reminds you of an MC from the glory days of music. You find yourself hanging on every lyric of his songs. He’s an music artist who happens to be good at MC battling. He started rapping during his junior high school years and dabbled in the underground rap battles. It wasn’t until November 2008 when Soul Khan started taking his rap battles and career in music seriously. He moved to Brooklyn, New York, got a job at Fat Beats and joined the underground hip hop group Brown Bag Allstars.
Soul Khan recently released the Acknowledgement EP in April 2011. This EP is the first of a four part series that will be released throughout the summer and fall of 2011. It used to be that thousands of new fans only discovered Soul Khan every day from his legendary MC battles. Now fans are discovering him by the music he continues to create (/via his Facebook page - which you should “like”)!
Why should you see him tonight at No Pulp Music Night?
